    In addition, there are residual solvent metals, which contact the diamond surface directly.Reduce (PDC) oxidation resistance and tool heat temperature, so the cutting performance of the tool is not stable.The preparation of diamond thick film tool is complicated because of the high interfacial energy between diamond and low melting point metal and its alloy.Diamonds are difficult to infiltrate into general low - melting solder alloys.TDF welding tools cannot be used in high speed milling because of their poor weldability and difficulty in making complex geometric tools.
     Diamond coated tools can be used in high speed machining because, in addition to their excellent mechanical properties, diamond coated tools can be used to prepare arbitrary complex shape milling cutters for high speed machining of aluminum and titanium alloy aviation materials and difficult to process non-metallic materials such as graphite electrode.

1. The hardness of PCD is up to 8000HV, which is 8~12 times of the hard alloy;
2, the thermal conductivity of PCD is 700W/mK, 1.5~9 times of hard alloy, even higher than PCBN and copper, so PCD tool heat transfer quickly
3. The friction coefficient of PCD is generally only 0.1~0.3(the friction coefficient of cemented carbide is 0.4~1), so PCD tool can significantly reduce the cutting force;
4. The thermal expansion coefficient of PCD is only 0.9×10^-6~1.18×10^-6, which is only equivalent to 1/5 of the cemented carbide. Therefore, the PCD tool has low thermal deformation and high machining accuracy.
5. The affinity between PCD tools and nonferrous and nonmetallic materials is very small, and the chips are not easy to bond to the tip during the processing, forming chip deposits.
