CLOCK MOVEMENT IMPORTERS (CMI) is also a family business, started
with a need to supply Australia with an outlet for quality German
movements for enthusiasts and service to the trade 30 years ago. We
are still currently based in South East Queensland. Though moving
twice over the years we are now permently located at Wacol,
Harry Beaman initially imported the Urgos brand which followed on
to the Hermle brand when Urgos was bought out by Hermle a few years
later. CMI established the Australian Agents for Hermle Mechanical
& Quartz Movements. During the last fifteen years of the
Movement Agency, Harry's two sons, Jeffrey and Rodney have also
joined the business.
The support and effort of respective family members, and the strong
presence in the movement and spare parts industry, aided our
decision four years ago to take on the Australia Agency for Hermle
Complete Clocks. In 2005 Stewart Findlay joined us as our sale
executive and combined we service Australia for all Hermle
requirements and more.
