Introduction of Tensioner & Idler
Tensioner& Idler Bearing is located in the front of an internal combustion engine.It provides tension to the belt which drives from the crankshaft, to the camshaft, alternator, air compressor, powersteering pump, and water pump. Itmust handle high temperatures, high-speed rotation, and belt vibrationbecause of contiguity in the engine used in order to make the direction of abelt change. These bearings are designed against different specification fromnormal deep groove bearings. These bearings are divided roughly into twotypes and identified by the usage respectively.
1. TensionerBearing

Bearing which applies tension to the drive belt, andprevents slack
2. IdlerBearing

Bearing which affects a change in the angle ofdirection which a belt runs or to adjust contact width with a pulley.

Structure of Tensioner & Idler
Sealedgroove bearing is usually used and it also has built-in heat-resistant grease,a seal, and the retainer and the structure can withstand a temperature changeor change of belt tension when the car is running.
