Introduction
Ti-6Al-4V, also called Grade 5 in America and TC4 in China, is an α+β two-phase titanium alloy.
Owing to its excellent machining ability, good weld-ability and prominent mechanical properties,
Ti-6Al-4V has been widely applied to marine fields, nuclear-energy industry, medical implants,
chemical industry and aerospace industry. Ti-6Al-4V, which has a wide range of operation temperature,
can be used as not only low-temperature material, like liquid hydrogen tanks, but also moderate
temperature material, like compressor disks.
Application
Ti-6Al-4V is well appropriate for compressor blade, fuselage construction, aerofoil, medical apparatus and instruments, ocean accoutrement and other fields.
