Chemical Stability Tungsten Carbide Ball In Strict And Harsh
Working Condition
High-precision tungsten-cobalt carbide balls are widely used in oil
drilling, deep-sea drilling pumping ball, ball seat, which is also
the most critical component of the pump. Due to the harsh working
environment and conditions in the oil drilling industry, it is
usually contained in sand wells, heavy oil wells and high-pressure
anti-sloping wells with some corrosive substances such as water,
various gases, waxes, sands, etc. The oil is extracted from several
hundred or even thousands of layers, which requires the valve ball
and the valve seat to have good sealing, wear resistance and
corrosion resistance (the valve ball and the valve seat are
combined and then vacuumed to an absolute pressure of 0.36kgN).
Below /cm, the absolute pressure value does not change within 10s.
The characteristics of tungsten carbide ball:
Tungsten Carbide balls are used in a variety of applications where extreme hardness and wear resistance is required. Tungsten Carbide has has emerged as a superior alternative to steel in many applications where severe conditions occur, such as high abrasion, corrosion and high temperatures.
The working process of tungsten carbide ball:
Heat treating: This high temperature process hardens the ball.
Grinding or polishing: The ball is then ground to the approximate diameter of the finished tungsten carbide balls. Thispolishing process the ball to the exact size required.
