The cemented carbide produced by powder metallurgy process has become the teeth of modern industry because of its high hardness, high strength, high wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Tool products based on cemented carbide materials are powerful tools for manufacturing industry, especially the core of some working environment requirements. The working parts are more important for the use of cemented carbide products.

 

Taking the punch rod used most frequently in batch production of progressive die as an example, the carbide punch rod is the core component. The carbide punching rod is a tungsten steel punching rod, also known as punch, punch or punch, is installed on the punching die for continuous punching punching and punching operations, so that the processed materials occur separation or plastic deformation, so as to obtain the required finished products or semi-finished products. Cemented carbide punch rods are specially selected by the pharmaceutical industry for their acid, alkali, corrosion and rust resistance.

 

Application:

 

According to different stamping materials, different stamping dies are designed, basically through a multi-step stamping process to complete a product or semi-finished work. The shapes and specifications of the carbide punch rods required by different steps are different, so the special-shaped punch needles for matching stamping dies are designed and customized. According to the different shapes and different uses, cemented carbide special-shaped stick can be divided into:

 

1. Guide punch is also called guide punch for short, according to the needs of the punch can have a variety of shapes, A-type B-type HB-type TAPP T ** P type and so on.

 

2. Mother-in-law punch is also called Mother-in-law punch, which is called Mother-in-law punch for short. There is a small protrusion at the top of the punch. I don't know the origin of the name, maybe because of the protrusion at the top of the punch. Letter punching needle can be divided into standard A type JS** type and so on.

 

3. There are dental punch, inspection tip, hexagonal punch, elliptical punch, forming punch, fan punch, special-shaped punch, high-speed steel punch, carbide punch and so on.

 

The conventional physical parameters of the hard alloy rod are as follows:

 

1, CO content: 10%-20%.

2, density g/cm3:14.0 to 14.5.

3, hardness: 87-92.0HRA.

4, grain size: 0.6-1.2um.

5, bending strength: 4000MPa.

6, elastic modulus GPa:490.

7. The coefficient of thermal expansion is 10-6/0C:5.4.

8, the size and specification of the carbide rod shall be customized according to the drawing, and the accuracy requirement will reach + 0.001.

 

Assembly design:

 

In addition to the choice of cemented carbide materials, one of the important factors affecting the quality and service life of the punch rod is whether the gap between the cold die is uniform. In the process of assembling hard alloy rod, it is necessary to ensure that the clearance between convex and concave die is uniform. In order to ensure the clearance between punch and die,

 

The position of one part (punch or die) must be determined according to the requirements of the drawing, and then the gap should be found to determine the exact position of the other part. Some stamping dies assemble many pieces of carbide punch rods at one time, which requires the scientific and reasonable design of the die.

 

There are mainly two ways to control the clearance between punch and die when assembling the rod.

 

1. Transmittance method: Place and install the upper mold and the lower mold, irradiate with light or flashlight, and observe the transmissivity in the drop hole of the lower mold.

 

2. Gasket method: Insert the punch into the holes of the corresponding concave die to observe the tightness of the punch and the gasket, and tap the fixed plate gently with the hand hammer to make the protrusion and the gasket tightness consistent until the protrusion and the gasket tightness are adjusted properly.
