Precision Attachment Meaning:
Precision attachment is a prefabricated attachment made by
mechanical finishing, which is usually composed of a negative and
positive two-part connecting structure, one part is combined with
the abutment or implant, and the other part is combined with the
denture to achieve connection and retention. Thus providing
retention, stability and aesthetics to the denture.
It is suitable for patients with dentition defects with high
aesthetic and functional requirements of removable dentures, and
the abutment teeth are in good condition and have a suitable
intermaxillary distance.

1. Poor oral hygiene.
2. The elderly and the disabled are unable to take care of
themselves.
3. Untreated periodontitis of abutment teeth and (or) incomplete
root filling treatment.
4. There is no intermaxillary distance required for placing
attachments.
