You need to decide what size pipe you need. Carbon steel welded

only a few inches in diameter to large pipes that are several feet
in diameter. Be sure to measure the area where you'll be installing
the pipe so that you can select the right size.
Third, you need to decide what kind of finish you want on your
carbon steel welded pipe. There are two main types of finishes:
hot-dipped galvanized and black enamel. Hot-dipped galvanized pipe
has a zinc coating that protects it from rust and corrosion; black
enamel pipe does not have this coating but is less expensive than
hot-dipped galvanized pipe.
