Chemical Composition of Aluminum Alloy Rods Bar

magnesium, manganese, silicon, and zinc. These elements are added
to aluminum to improve its properties. For example, copper
increases the strength and hardness of aluminum while magnesium
increases its corrosion resistance.
Each element that is added to an aluminum alloy has a different
effect on its properties. Therefore, the specific composition of an
aluminum alloy rod will be designed for the intended application.
For example, an aluminum alloy rod that is going to be used in the
construction of an aircraft will have a different composition than
one that is going to be used in the construction of a boat.
