HDMI2.0 is perfectly backward compatible with HDMI 1.x. HDMI 2.0 does not replace HDMI 1.x, but is based on the latter's enhancement. Any device that wants to support HDMI 2.0 must first ensure basic support for HDMI 1.x.
According to the difference in electrical structure and physical shape, the HDMI interface can be divided into five types: Type A, Type B, Type C, Type D, and Type E. Each type of interface consists of a socket for the device end and a plug for the wire end. It is driven by a 5V low voltage and has an impedance of 100 ohms. All three plugs can provide reliable TMDS connections.
Type A: Standard 19PIN HDMI interface with the highest penetration rate;
Type B: The interface size is slightly larger, with a 29PIN pin, which can provide dual TMDS transmission channels, so it supports higher data transmission rates and Dual-Link DVI connections;
Type C: The interface has the same performance as the A-type interface, but the volume is smaller, which is more suitable for compact portable devices;
Type D: Mainly used on mobile phones. For example, Motorola XT800 HTC P990, LG P990, LG P993, LG P999 and other mobile phones, and some tablet computers also use this interface, such as tablet computers Acer Acer A500 W500;
Type E: Mainly used in vehicle systems. At present, this interface is not applied to household appliances and digital devices.
