1. The main features :
- Smooth motion. It combines the linear bearing’s sliding and roller
bearing’s rolling mechanism to accomplish the sliding and swinging
motion during the door open and close. It also utilizes rotating
columns to balance the upper and lower part of door panel plugging
motion;
- High safety. It utilizes the over-center auto locking to make sure
that the door will not open accidentally. The door will be locked
even tighter if pushed by passenger. It also utilizes the pressure
wave sensitive edge combined with current measurement as secondary
sensitive edge;
- High reliability. Power driven swinging motion for the smooth door
movement;
- Energy Saving. Swinging and sliding driven by single motor for
power efficiency;
- Superior sealing. It insulates noise from the outside and reduces
the energy loss of the air conditioner;
- Sleek outlook. The outlook is very clean by using the curve-matched
door panel and the inner sealing.
2. Mechanism :
The door system consists of
mechanical system and electrical system. Mechanical system includes
door operator, door shaft
and door panels. The electrical system includes power supply and
controller. The door operator consists of
driving mechanism, plugging mechanism, hanging
mechanism, guiding mechanism, and locking & unlocking
mechanism.
- Driving mechanism includes DC motor and multi-head ball screw to
achieve smooth motion and high reliability. The DC motor is
connected to shaft connector, gear box, ball screw and driving nut
in order. Driving nut is then connected to the door hanger and door
panel. The door panel is horizontal sliding as long as ball screw
rotates;
- Plugging mechanism includes fix plate, moving plate, rotating
shaft, plug driving rod, plug following rod. Hanging system
includes hanger and guide rod. Hanger is connected to the door
panel and meanwhile is also connected to the guide rod through the
linear bearing. Therefore the weight of door panel is transferred
to the guide rod, which is installed on the moving plate. When
motor rotates, it drives the rotating shaft to rotate through
planetary gear box. The rotating shaft then drives the plug driving
rod to rotate. It makes the moving plate move in and out by using
connecting rod and sliding block mechanism. Because the door hanger
is also installed on the moving plate, the door panel can be driven
in and out to achieve the plugging motion;
- Guiding mechanism consists of upper guide track and lower guide
track. Upper guide track is installed on the fix plate. When the
door panel moves, the roller installed on the hanger will rotate
around the guide track. The lower guide track is installed on the
lower inner part of the door panel. The lower roller installed on
the swing arm is also rotating around the lower guide track when
the door panel is sliding. The sliding motion and plugging motion
are controlled by roller and guide track mechanism;
- Locking and unlocking mechanism includes rotating shaft, plug
driving rod, plug following rod, unlocking disc, and emergency
handle. When motor runs, it drive the rotating shaft to rotate
through planetary gear box and then drive the plug driving rod and
plug following rod to rotate. The moving plate is locked since the
plug following rod is rotated over pivot center. The door panel is
locked since it is connected to the door hanger and then to the
moving plate. The emergency handle is connected to the unlocking
disc directly or through cable. When emergency handle is activated,
the unlocking disc which is fixed on the rotating shaft will
rotates. As soon as the rotating shaft rotates on the opposite
direction, it will drive the plug driving rod and the plug
following rod out of over-center. The moving plate and the door
panel are unlocked;
- The electrical door control system (EDCU) is developed by Ivy
itself. EDCU controls the door movement by getting orders from
vehicle. The function of EDCU is to control individual door
movement and communicate with other EDCU. The bus connection such
as MVB, Ethernet or CAN service is available per car builder’ s
request. In order to achieve the high reliability of the EDCU, all
the electrical key components are imported;
- The sensitive edge system is part of electrical system. When the
sensitive edge installed on the door panel hits the obstacle during
the closing, the door panel will start to open to avoid pinching.
The function is achieved by two ways. The first is achieved by
pressure wave switch which is connected to the door panel rubber
seals and the second one is achieved by checking the current
reaction from the motor.
The door system consists of mechanical system and electrical
system. Mechanical system includes door operator, door shaft and
door panels. The electrical system includes power supply and
controller. The door operator consists of driving mechanism,
plugging mechanism, hanging mechanism, guiding mechanism, and
locking & unlocking mechanism.
