Application
A drying chamber is a facility designed to remove moisture from freshly produced bricks, tiles, or other ceramic materials. The drying process is necessary to reduce the moisture content of the material to a level where it can be safely fired in a kiln without cracking or otherwise being damaged. In a drying chamber, the ceramic material is usually stacked on shelves and heated to a specific temperature and humidity level, which is gradually increased over time until the desired level of dryness is achieved.
Introduction of Hoffman Kiln
A Hoffman kiln is a type of continuous kiln used for firing bricks. It is named after its inventor, Friedrich Hoffmann, a German brickmaker who developed the design in the mid-19th century. The kiln consists of a long, narrow tunnel with a series of interconnected chambers. The chambers are loaded with green (unfired) bricks at one end, and as the bricks move through the kiln, they are gradually heated and fired. The heat is generated by burning fuel in a separate firebox, which is connected to the kiln by a flue.
The Hoffman kiln is known for its energy efficiency and high production capacity, making it a popular choice for large-scale brick production. However, it requires a significant amount of space and is labor-intensive to operate, as workers must continually load and unload the kiln as it moves through the firing process.
Packaging and Shipping for Hoffman Kiln:
The Hoffman kiln will be properly packed in sturdy wooden crates or boxes, with sufficient padding and protection against weather and mishandling. The crates and boxes will be labeled with the relevant shipment information. The shipment will be handled by a reliable and experienced freight forwarder.
Finished Bricks for Reference
According to different usage purpose, finished bricks can be divided into out-wall decoration bricks, and inner-wall construction bricks.
Out-wall decoration bricks come with smooth surface and uniform color , and normally burning fuel is natural gas or coal powder, which is showered into the burning kiln by specific tube system. Out-wall decoration bricks also can be called as Face bricks.
Inner-wall construction bricks, normally featured with rough surface, but higher strength. Burning fuel for inner-wall construction bricks is coal, which can be added into the raw materials, or threw from the top of burning kiln.
