Fin Tube Description

 

All heat and cold exchangers with fins on heat exchange tubes to increase the heat dissipation area can be summarized as "finned tube radiator".

Finned tube radiator according to the structure of the fin can be divided into wound chip type; String type; Welding plate; Rolled plate. The commonly used material is steel; Stainless steel; Copper; Aluminum, etc.

 

Finned radiator is the most widely used steel and aluminum finned tube (around the sheet type steel and aluminum composite finned tube, rolled sheet type steel and aluminum composite finned tube) it takes advantage of the pressure resistance of steel pipe and aluminum high efficiency thermal conductivity, in a special machine tool composite. The contact thermal resistance is almost zero at 210℃.

Steel-aluminum composite tube radiator has irreplaceable advantages over other types of finned tube radiator.

Finned tube radiators are generally used for heating or cooling air, and have the characteristics of compact structure and large unit heat exchange area. Widely used in textile, printing and dyeing, petroleum, chemical, drying, electricity and other fields.

 

H-type finned tubes are derived largely from rectangle finned tubes. Because of their unique groove structure on the fin surface, H-type finned tubes have excellent anti-wear and anti-fouling performance.

 

H-type finned tube heat exchanger elements maintain a high capacity for heat transfer, possess superior self-cleaning properties and retain the ability to effect flue gas waste heat recovery in boiler renovations. Convective heat transfer coefficient is proportional to fin pitch, but inversely proportional to fin height and fin width. Integrated heat transfer capacity is related to fin efficiency, convective heat transfer coefficient and finned ratio. Pressure drop increases with the increase of fin height and fin width.

2.Fins are used to increase the effective surface area of heat exchanger tubing.

3.Finned tubes are used when the heat transfer coefficient on the outside of the tubes is appreciably lower than that on the inside;as in heat transfer from a liquid to a gas,vapor to a gas ,such as steam to air heat exchanger, thermic fluid to air heat exchanger, when an extended surface is needed on only one fluid side or when the operating pressure needs to be contained on one fluid side.
