Silkworm Cocoon Coutinuous Mesh Belt Dryer Sericulture Equipment
Drying Processing Line
The hot air cocoon drying machine is mainly composed of a drying
chamber and a circulating cocoon net. The cocoon webs move in opposite directions between layers. When drying the cocoons, the automatic cocoon laying device spreads
the fresh cocoons on the cocoon net from the upper layer, the fan
conducts heat exchange by forced convection, and sends the hot air
outside the machine into the drying room through the air duct. The bagging device will bag the dry cocoons from the lower layer.

THE SILKWORM SERICULTURE EQUIPMENT FEATURES
The drying process of fresh cocoons goes through two stages, namely
the constant speed drying stage in which a certain amount of water
is evaporated within a certain period of time (the temperature of
the pupae remains basically unchanged in this stage), and the
deceleration drying stage in which the amount of water evaporation
gradually decreases within a certain period of time. stage. The
characteristic of this period is that the temperature of the pupa,
the temperature of the cocoon layer and the temperature of the
cocoon cavity changed with the drying time, and the temperature
gradually increased, and then reached the same temperature as the
drying medium.
1. Drying of the cocoon layer
The moisture content of the fresh cocoon layer is about 12%. There
is no constant speed drying stage in the drying process, but a
deceleration drying stage from the beginning.
2. Drying of pupa
The moisture content of fresh pupae is about 77%. In a short period
of time, the evaporation of water is hindered and the evaporation
is slow. When the water in the pupae begins to evaporate rapidly
and maintain a constant rate of drying. At this time, the
temperature of the pupa remains basically unchanged. After a period
of time, it entered the first and second stages of deceleration
drying. During this period, the evaporation rate of water gradually
slowed down, the temperature of the pupa body gradually increased,
and the equilibrium water was reached later.
3. Drying of fresh cocoons
The cocoon layer is always dried with a certain moisture content
(6-7%). When the fresh cocoon enters the cocoon drying machine, the
moisture of the cocoon layer evaporates rapidly, and the moisture
content of the cocoon layer drops to about 4%. In the early stage
of drying (about 10 minutes), the drying temperature should be
slightly lower, so that the moisture in the cocoon layer will be
released. Evenly, reduce the rapid thermal effect, so that the
subsequent heat treatment tends to be stable.
