The ball mill is the key crushing equipment after the materials have been crushed. It is widely used in cement, silicate, new

building materials, refractory materials, ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals as well as ceramics. It is widely applied to

crush ores in dry or wet way.

 

The ball mill is the key equipment for crushing the material after it is crushed. This type of grinding machine is filled with a certain number of steel balls in its cylinder as the grinding medium.

It is widely used in cement, silicate products, new building materials, refractory materials, chemical fertilizers, black and non-ferrous metal beneficiation, glass ceramics and other production industries, for dry or wet grinding of various ores and other grindable materials.

 

Working principle

 

 The ball mill is a horizontal cylindrical rotating device, driven by a gear wheel on board. There are two chambers and a grid. Material enters the first chamber through the feed inlet. Inside the first chamber there are stage liners and corrugated liners as well as steel balls. The shell rotates so as to generate electricity, and this force brings the ball to a

certain height, then the balls fall by gravity, the impact is the grinding force on the material. After primary

grinding, the materials enter the second chamber through a separate screen. In the second chamber, there are flat liners and a steel ball, after the secondary crushing, the material is discharged from the landfill. Then finished.

 

The ball mill is composed of a horizontal cylinder, a hollow shaft for feeding and discharging materials, and a grinding head. The cylinder is a long cylinder with a grinding body inside. Generally, it is a steel ball, and it is loaded into the cylinder according to different diameters and certain proportions. The grinding body can also be made of steel segments. The material is selected according to the particle size of the grinding material, and the material is loaded into the barrel through the hollow shaft at the feed end of the ball mill. When the barrel of the ball mill rotates, the grinding body is attached to the liner of the barrel due to inertia, centrifugal force, and friction. It is taken away by the cylinder, and when it is brought to a certain height, it is thrown down due to its own gravity, and the falling grinding body crushes the materials in the cylinder like a projectile.

Ball Mill:
Ball Mill grinds material by rotating a cylinder with steel grinding balls, causing the balls to fall back into the cylinder and onto the material to be ground. The rotation is usually between 4 to 20 revolutions per minute, depending upon the diameter of the mill. The larger the diameter, the slower the rotation. If the peripheral speed of the mill is too great, it begins to act like a centrifuge and the balls do not fall back, but stay on the perimeter of the mill. The point where the mill becomes a centrifuge is called the "Critical Speed", and ball mills usually operate at 65% to 75% of the critical speed.
