Thermostat
The thermostat is basically a valve between the engine and the radiator. When the coolant in the engine gets too hot, this valve opens, letting it pass to the radiator where it will cool down. Locate your thermostat if you haven't already done so.
Place a bucket under where you're going to be working.
Remove the clamp.
Pull off the hose.
Remove the bolts that hold the thermostat housing in place and lift out the old thermostat.
Lay the new gasket in place.
