Water Temperature Sensor

A car water temperature sensor is used to measure the temperature of the liquid coolant in an automotive engine. It is typically installed in the engine block or cylinder head of the water jacket and is in direct contact with the coolant1. The sensor works by measuring the temperature given off by the thermostat and/or the coolant itself.
