ESD Side Entry Trunnion Mounted Ball Valve
Thermally activated Emergency Shutdown Valves (ESDs) are critical
components in refinery, terminal and distribution safety systems.
Thermal activated shutoffs work like fuses in the piping that
carries extracted fuels. When a fire occurs, the fuel flow is shut
down, preventing the fuel from feeding the fire. The Thermally
activated Emergency Shutdown Valves (ESDs) include:
- A fire-safe ball valve
- A spring return pneumatic valve actuator
- A FireChek® heat activated pneumatic shutoff valve
- An solenoid valve
- A manual override (optional)
Features & Benefits
- Local thermal shutdown for automatic shutdown in the event of fire
- Remote shutdown to isolate subsystems
- Valve assembly has normal process operating function until FireChek
is triggered
- FireChek stops supply air to prevent feeding oxygen to the fire
Options
- Limit Switch
- Manual Override
- Lock Out Device
