Product Details

A facsinating book written by Bobby Burnet who is the Historian to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. The book provides a comprehensive account of the British Open Golf Championships when played at St. Andrews during the late 19th century up to the 1984 victory when Ballesteros won.
The book is full of both black/white and coloured photographs showing many of the champions and Burnet has scoured newspaper and magazine articles from the past to provide a detailed and reliable account of how these famous golfers won the Championship. Published in 1990 by Sportsprint Publishing, Edinburgh, the book is in very good condition. The black hard back cover is sound and unmarked having been protected by the dust jacket which is also in good condition. The plain blue page inside the front cover has been torn out for some reason. There is no hand written dedication. The pages are very clean with a slight hint of 'yellowing' at the top of some pages.
The book measures 11" x 9" (28cm x 23cm) approx.
