Product Details

A very scarce title published by the London North Eastern Railway Company, UK, 1937. This is the third edition in good order with the two fold out maps intact.
Bernard Darwin describes numerous courses situated on the London North Eastern railway line.
The forward states 'This little book contains accounts of some courses on the LNER. The total number is past counting, to say nothing of describing; so I have chosen just a few in different parts of the country, of different types and qualities and attractions. Of some I know every yard and every bunker; to others I have made too brief pilgrimages, but I have had fun on them all and I hope other people may have it too.' Bernard Darwin.
Contains 126 pages and illustrated with 31 full page photographs. The book measures 8.5" tall x 5.5" (21cm x 14cm) The fold out maps show golf clubs in England and Scotland on the L.N.E.R. line with the nearest stations.
The book has a soft cover which is in good condition. The spine has slight wear at both top and bottom and the rear cover shows a few 'stain' marks as shown on image 4. Please see the various images. The book is tightly bound and the pages are clean and perfectly legible with no tears or written notes.
