SC Splice-on Fiber Optic Connectors manufactured by ANC International Co., Limited provide a convenient low loss alternative to using pigtails to field terminate fibre cable. The splice-on fast connector is supplied ready terminated with a short length of fiber, which can be directly spliced to installed cable. The splice is then protected within the specially designed connector boot, removing need for additional splice trays or housings. The splice-on connector is actually an optical fiber fusion, however the welding point is in the inner end of connector, which makes it no necessary for extra protection equipment. No crimping, polishing, or adhesives are required for termination, minimizing installation errors.
