Bare aluminum conductors, especially in the form of Aluminum
Conductors Steel Reinforced(ACSR), have been widely used for
overhead transmission lines as the most cost-effective and
dependable product.
As the name implies, ACSR is a concentrically stranded conductor
composed of one or more layers of hard-drawn EC grade aluminum
wires over a high strength coated steel core. The core may be
single wire or stranded, depending on the size.
Material Standard:
1) The hard aluminum conductor used for AAC and ACSR conforms to
the standard GB/T 17048-1997 (equivalent to IEC 60889:1987)
2) The zinc coated steel wire used for ACSR confirms to IEC
60888:1987
3) Production can be arranged according to customers' requirement
such as material standard etc.
4) We can also produce products according to the Standard of BS215,
ASTM B232, and DIN48204.

1. Applications:
ACAR is used as bare cable for overhead transmission and distribution lines and also as bus-bar in substations where is highly suitable considering the mechanical and electrical characteristics.
As comparison with ACSR of same weight, ACAR can offers higher mechanical strength.

carrying capacity, higher strength and a lower conductor
weight are critical to the line design.
3. Construction:
Wires of Aluminium 1350-H19 is concentrically stranded on Aluminium Alloy 6201 core. The number of wires of each one depends on the cable design.
In some cable constructions the wires of Aluminium Alloy 6201 can be distributed in layers throughout the Aluminium 1350-H19.
