0.6/1kv low voltage Triple Cores Aluminum Aerial Bundled Cable
Aerial bundled cables (also aerial bundled conductors or simply
ABC) are overhead power lines using several insulated phase
conductors bundled tightly together, usually with a bare neutral
conductor. This contrasts with the traditional practice of using
uninsulated conductors separated by air gaps. This variation of
overhead power lines utilizes the same principles as bundled
conductors, except that they are closer together to the point of
touching but each conductor is surrounded by an insulating layer
(except for the neutral line).
Application:
Aerial Bundled Cable (ABC cable) has characters of
power-transmitting and strong mechanical. In comparison with bare
wire, aerial bundled cable (ABC cable) have many advantages, such
as:small span in laying, higher safe reliability, better atmosphere
aging resistence property. Aerial bundled cable has the priority to
be used in urban and rural power-transmitting construction project.
Description:
The aerial bundled cables designed for overhead distribution lines
have all conductors made of aluminium 1350 are insulated with XLPE
phase and neutral cores are laied up in a bundled with left hand
lay. Cables are rated at 0.6/1(1.2) KV and conform to AS/NZS 3560.1
The main advantages of aerial bundled cables include:
1. ease of erection and stringing.
2. Practically no tree - trimming required.
3. Less maintenance.
